Spotted:
girlfriend of “Dirk Verbals’” from the group Switchdance
sporting a rock on her left hand at the Blind Pig on Friday’s
Found Magazine party. Sorry ladies, but it looks like this diminutive,
adorable Ann Arbor rapper is spoken for.
An
aggressive private party promoter and her silent partner were pushing
flyers outside the Cavern Club entrance. The promoter was trying
to persuade male passers-by to come to her events by using the fact
that Royce da 5’9 was there last week as a selling point.
Having no idea who the Detroit rapper was, most of the men stumbled
off in confusion.
What
was going on at Liberty St. Bar, the moodily-lit boite formerly
known as Babs, last Saturday night? Women were bouncing all over
the bar to techno music. What are they putting in the cocktails
over there these days? Theories are welcome.
Daytime
mayhem: An elderly man was seen in a physical confrontation with
a young mother and and her small daughter at Gordon’s Food
Service on Carpenter in Ypsi. After the scampering child had nudged
the man one too many times, he began to bump the little girl back
in line. The shocked mother asked him not to touch the girl, at
which point the man began pushing the mother as well. Onlookers
were frozen until the cashier told the man his total and he left
the store. Come on, brother, we’re all just trying to navigate
through this bulk food world together, show a little love.
